1. Overview
FocusPort ("we", "our", or "the app") is a focus and productivity app built for Android. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is stored and protected. We are committed to being fully transparent about our data practices.
FocusPort is operated by an independent developer. For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, FocusPort acts as the data controller of your personal data.
đĄī¸ Guest Mode: If you use FocusPort as a guest (without signing in), no data ever leaves your device. All session data is stored locally in your phone's private app storage only.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of data to provide and improve our services:
- Account Information: Name, email address, and a unique Firebase user ID (via Google Sign-In).
- Usage Data: Focus sessions, duration, completion status, streaks, and total focus minutes.
- Diagnostic Data: Limited diagnostic data such as crash logs may be collected via Firebase services to improve app stability.
We do not collect sensitive personal data such as passwords or financial information directly through our app.

đ Signed-In Users (Google Account) SYNCED TO CLOUD
When you sign in using your Google account, we collect and store your name, email address, and a unique Firebase user ID to identify your account and sync your data across devices.
- Focus session records (start time, duration, completion status)
- Streak count and best streak
- Total sessions completed and total focus minutes
- Exit key balance (number of keys available)
- Last completed session date
- Premium status and trial expiry timestamp
- Migration flags (internal â whether guest data has been transferred to your account)
Your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore and is associated with a Firebase UID. Your data is stored securely on Google Cloud servers via Firebase services. Access to your data is restricted and protected using Firebase security rules. Your focus data is stored securely and is not publicly accessible.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected data to:
- Provide and maintain app functionality, including tracking your focus sessions and progress.
- Sync your data across devices when you are signed in.
- Manage your account and authentication.
- Process purchases and manage premium features.
- Improve app performance and stability.
- Provide features such as streak tracking and statistics.
4. Permissions We Use
FocusPort requests certain permissions such as Accessibility, Device Administrator, and Notifications strictly to enable core app functionality like enforcing focus sessions and delivering alerts. These permissions are used only during active sessions and are never used to collect personal data.
5. How We Use the Accessibility Service
â ī¸ FocusPort uses Android's Accessibility Service only to detect when you leave the app during an active focus session, and to help enforce your focus session by restricting distractions â a session you have personally configured and started.
The Accessibility Service is used strictly for this core functionality of enforcing focus sessions. It does not read text from your screen, interact with other apps on your behalf, collect or store any data from other apps, or operate when no focus session is active. FocusPort does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or sensitive data from other apps or from the device screen through the Accessibility Service. You can revoke this permission at any time via Android Settings â Accessibility.
6. How We Use Device Administrator
FocusPort requests Device Administrator permission solely to lock the screen during active focus sessions initiated by the user. It is not used to wipe your device, enforce password policies, monitor device usage, or perform any action outside of an active, user-initiated focus session.
7. Exit Keys â In-App Purchases
FocusPort offers "Exit Keys" as consumable in-app items. Users can always choose to end a session at any time, which may result in loss of streak progress. Exit Keys are used to leave the session without completing it fully.
- Your first Exit Key is granted free after completing your first focus session
- Additional keys are available for purchase via Google Play Billing
- Your key balance is stored in Firebase (signed-in) or locally (guest)
đŗ Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Google Play. FocusPort does not collect, store, or have access to your payment details such as credit card, debit card, or bank account information. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play.
8. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted service providers such as Google Firebase (for authentication and data storage) and Google Play (for payment processing), which process data on our behalf to provide core app functionality.
These services process data such as account information (name and email), usage data (focus sessions), and diagnostic data (crash logs) strictly to provide authentication, cloud storage, and payment processing.
9. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud services). We take reasonable measures to protect your data using secure technologies provided by Firebase and Google services. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will take appropriate steps to notify affected users as required by applicable laws. Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country.
10. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app's functionality. If you stop using the app or request deletion, your data will be removed from our systems within a reasonable timeframe.
âšī¸ How to delete your data: Currently, FocusPort does not provide an in-app data deletion option. You may request deletion by contacting us at the email below. We will process valid requests within a reasonable timeframe.
You may also delete local data by signing out and clearing app data from your device. For complete account deletion from our servers, please contact us. If you sign in with Google, uninstalling the app does not automatically delete your cloud data.
11. Children's Privacy
FocusPort is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such information.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using FocusPort ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users, including guests and registered users.
2. Description of the App
FocusPort is a focus and productivity application that helps users maintain concentration by restricting access to other apps and device functions during user-configured focus sessions. The App uses Android's Accessibility Service, Device Administrator, and related system features strictly for this purpose, and only during sessions that the user themselves initiates.
3. User Accounts
- You may use the App as a guest without creating an account
- You may sign in with your Google Account to sync data across devices
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google Account
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms
4. Exit Keys â Purchases & Refunds
Free Key FREE
Every user receives one (1) free Exit Key automatically after completing their first focus session. Users can always choose to end a session at any time, which may result in loss of streak progress. An Exit Key is used to leave the session without completing it fully.
Additional Keys PAID
Additional Exit Keys are available for purchase through Google Play. All purchases are final and non-refundable once a key has been consumed. Unused keys may be eligible for a refund through Google Play's standard refund policy within 48 hours of purchase.
Exit Keys are consumable items. They are not transferable between accounts and their value cannot be redeemed for cash. We reserve the right to adjust pricing at any time; previously purchased keys are not affected.

5. Premium Features
Certain features are available only to Premium subscribers, including additional schedule slots and emergency app slots. Premium status is obtained through in-app purchase via Google Play Billing. We will provide notice of any material reductions to premium features.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to bypass, reverse-engineer, or disable the session enforcement mechanisms of the App
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Share, sell, or transfer your account or Exit Keys to another person
- Use automated scripts or tools to interact with the App
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our Firebase database or backend systems
7. Permissions Disclosure
The App requires the following system permissions to function. By enabling these, you consent to their use as described:
- Accessibility Service: Detects when you leave the app during a session and helps enforce your focus session by restricting distractions â only during active, user-initiated sessions
- Device Administrator: Locks the device screen during active focus sessions initiated by the user
- Display Over Other Apps: Shows a warning overlay if accessibility is disabled mid-session
- Exact Alarms: Triggers scheduled focus sessions at the precise time you set
- Notifications: Delivers session start and status notifications on Android 13+
All permissions can be revoked at any time from Android Settings. Revoking core permissions will disable related functionality.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the App will be available at all times or error-free. Productivity outcomes vary by individual, and we make no guarantees regarding the effectiveness of focus sessions for any particular user.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FocusPort and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, missed notifications, or device functionality issues resulting from the use of system-level permissions.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. To request deletion of your account data, contact us at the email below. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the app will cease immediately. Any stored data may be deleted upon request.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you via an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in India.
13. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to technical failures, internet outages, or third-party service disruptions.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and FocusPort regarding the use of the App.
